The childhood of Pickler was not a smooth one. As a toddler she left her mother's unfaithful relationship. Her return to the life of Pickler in 1995, and became the mother of her. It didn't go well. So when she was 12 the court gave back Pickler to her grandparents - who raised her to adulthood. Pickler was unable to parent her children in their absence. She admitted she was no longer able to learn and she began to understand how to become a housekeeper from a very young age. Pickler was a member of her high school's and middle school's cheerleading squad. She graduated in 2004 in 2004 from North Stanly High School. Pickler was also a beauty pageant contestant.
